IDP Camps

Crises can put an end in schooling, deprive children of their basic right to learn and lead to an environment of turmoil in already traumatized societies. With the introduction of the back to school initiative children of internally displaced persons can return to some form of education in locations they find themselves.

Public Primary Schools

While the public primary schools are open, the kids have to have a uniform and shoes. Their elderly grandparents or adoptive parents are unable to afford these, so either the children can not attend or wear torn shoes and ripped old uniforms. They've all had a really rough home life. They are dealing with many problems, and live in bad conditions. Many who care for them are typically unable to provide the support that children need to be effective at school.

As well as providing school supplies to children, your support also helps them learn emotionally and make wise life decisions through ongoing workshops of therapy, counselling, life skills and feeding program.

When children enter Back to School, they are given support each year until they are through with school.

Shortly though your support we wish to be able to

1. Establish quick measures for lots of children to return to some form of education as soon as possible after an emergency

2. Timely purchase and distribution of educational supplies and materials to assist with the commencement of education;

3.Establishment of some form of temporary learning infrastructure, where the need arises through the help of our corporate partners and volunteers

4.Mobilization and sensitization of educational stack holder, CSOs, communities and non-profits to the conditions in these camps
